When in contact with water, this purifier releases hypochlorous acid. It is the most powerful bactericide and germicide ever known and, in contrast with traditional chemical methods, the biological purification is innocuous to human beings and animals. On account of this total absence of toxicity, it is widely used and validated by public and private health organizations. «PYAM» has been present since 1990 providing valuable solutions in the entire world in many catastrophes and epidemics –principally in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Middle East- giving attendance in the illnesses prevention that are present in polluted waters, attending the Centres and Health Ministries; many non-governmental organizations and also military institutions.

White Helmets Commission of the Argentinean Foreign Ministry, since its constitution, uses the product like a basic input in its programs of humanitarian action.

INTERNATIONAL VALIDATIONS

Several organizations in the world such as WHO, UNICEF, WFP, PAHO, United Nations Development Programmes; Médicins Sans Fronti è rs; Médicine des Voyages; INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS & RED CRESCENT MOVEMENT, CARITAS, CEPIS-Pan-American Centre for Sanitary Engineering a nd Environmental Sciences; US Environmental Protection Agency, EPA; European Standard for Chemical use of Water Intended for Human Consumption; German Drinking Water Regulations; and also many others institutions and scientific associations in the whole world recommend or use products whose active ingredient is NaDCC, --inclusive for children, or elder people-- as a valid alternative of successfully facing the humanitarian and social campaigns. In 2003, FAO/WHO resolved that the tolerable daily intake [TDI] of anhydrus NaDCC is of 0-2.0 mg/kg of body weight, applicable to drinking water, a dosage that exceeds the concentration found in any of the formats of «PYAM» purifiers.

PURIFICATION AT THE CONSUMPTION POINT
«PYAM» allows easy and safe water purification at the point of consumption since it is offered in two solid presentations --tablets and granulated powder-, for application in different volumes of water and with different dosages in clear or turbid waters, in packaging that allows easy handling, transportation and storage, as well as an accurate dosage according to the needs of the end consumer. This is another advantage that distinguishes «PYAM» from other products; because any user can store a small quantity of the product at home and, in a few minutes, prepare any required volume of safe water --from one litre for family use up to 5,000+ litres or more for tank storage. In every instance, simply add «PYAM» to the water, a process within reach of any non-skilled operator.

SAFETY IN THE PURIFICATION
In seconds, «PYAM» releases its active ingredient and, in 30 minutes, produces a microbiological sweep up that can eliminate virus, bacteria, and fungi present in the water. «PYAM» provides the exact quantity and concentration of hypochlorous acid required to kill harmful micro organisms, without altering watercolour or taste. In addition it is also highly reliable because it is innocuous. There is no risk derived of overdose caused by carelessness or lack of information. Even if the product is mishandled, no available presentation f or small volumes of water [for individual or family consumption] can reach a degree of concentration that can pose a threat to human health.

CONTINUOUS PURIFICATION
«PYAM» can be used with flowing water through a very simple machine operated by water pressure which does not require electricity. The equipment absorbs a concentrated solution from a container, homogenizes it, doses it at the required level, producing and sending purified and drinking water ready for consumption or storage, without human intervention or external controls.

STABILITY AND BENEFITS
«PYAM» is very stable. Under adequate storage conditions, any of its presentations has a useful life of over 5 years, during which all properties are fully preserved. After being diluted in water, due to the residual effect of the hypochlorous acid released, the product remains active for extended periods, preserving the water from further re-contamination.
